Point reward system
Points are rewarded during the tournament. You have predicted the match results during the group stage and have predicted the teams to reach quarter finals, semi-finals and so during the knockout stage. Both stages have a different point reward system.

Group stage
For each match in the group stage you can earn 12 points:
* 5 points are earned by correctly predicting a win or draw.
* 7 points can be earned with the goals scored.#

# If you have predict the exact outcome, you will have 5 points for the goals scored and two bonus points for your impressive prediction. If not, you can still score additional points! We calculate the difference in goals from your prediction and the actual result. You will be rewarded the 5 points minus the calculated difference, with a minimum of 0 points. So a 3:1 prediction that matches a 2:0 result will be rewarded with 3 points for the goals scored: 5 - (3-2) - (1-0) = 5-2 = 3. This is excluding the score for predicting the correct win or draw.

Knockout stage
In the knockout stage you have predicted how far participating teams get. The further the tournament, the more points can be earned. For every team predicted correctly you earn the following amount of points:
* Team reaches second round: 4 points.
* Team reaches quarter finals: 8 points.
* Team reaches semi-finals: 16 points.
* Team reaches final: 32 points.
* Team wins the tournament: a massive 64 points.

It's a tie
When two or more players are tied and both may claim a prize, the administrator of the game decides whether the prize is divided or one player gets it all. Make sure to announce these regulations to all players, for example by putting them in the additional information of your game.
